New album with La Dolce Volta
The magic of fairy tales mingles with the magic of dreams in this programme, which is by turns flamboyant and poetic. It alternates between the most shimmering and the softest colours, and while it begins with the great ballet repertoire, it ends with the well-known pieces from the film classics Merlin the Enchanter and Harry Potter.
Her intensive frequentation of the works of Liszt has nurtured her sense of narrative and her talent as a colourist. Beatrice Berrut knows how to turn her piano into a veritable orchestra, to mould the sound material, to create profoundly poetic atmospheres and transport us into a dreamlike world. For this musician, who grew up surrounded by nature, has kept her childlike soul and developed an imaginary universe populated by fantastical characters straight out of fairytale, though she does not hesitate to shake up its codes.

The concert pianist's life
1985, Valais, Switzerland: Beatrice Berrut, born in the Swiss Alps in the canton of Valais, spends most of her childhood with her sister conquering the hills and mountains of her home valley.
